The reconstructed 1930s hospital building contains a room with a Rococo ceiling, originally from the eighteenth-century Foundling Hospital, with decoration by William Wilton and paintings by William Hogarth and others. It was used for governors’ meetings and annual dinners, where decisions were taken on the care of children and the admission of foundlings. This eighteenth-century interior is one of three preserved in the present Museum.
